How Our Clothes Are Made
You should feel good about what you wear, and part of feeling good is knowing that what you're wearing is a reflection of you and your values.
When you wear Yoganum, you should be proud to know that you're wearing clothes that support yoga charities for the disadvantaged, whilst at the same time contributing to environmental causes and responsible business practices.
Transparency in our manufacturing process and business partners is important to us, so here's what you need to know about how our clothes and other products are made.
Made by Ethically Treated Workers
Everyone who works should do so in a safe environment where they're treated ethically and humanely.
That's why we've pledged that every piece of our clothing that can be, should be made in Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) certified factories.( Bella canvas, Anvil, Gildan)
WRAP is a globally recognized, independent third party body whose sole mission is to identify and certify businesses and manufacturing facilities around the world who operate under lawful, ethical and humane conditions.
Achieving WRAP certification is an extensive process that requires an extensive application and certification process.
Manufacturing facilities, working conditions and worker's rights all go through a comprehensive approval process, and WRAP awards are only given to companies who follow internationally accepted humane working standards, ethical manufacturing regulations as well as local laws.
Our tote bag and other accessories are currently not being made in a WRAP certified facility. However, they are ethically made by apparel manufacturers under 100% ethical sweatshop free conditions.
Vegan, Eco-Friendly & 100% Cruelty-Free
At Yoganum, we are aware of the impact we may have on our environment, which is why we're doing everything we can to minimise the footprint of our manufacturing processes.
No animal products at all
We refuse to use leather. More than that, we don't use any animal-based products and make sure that every single piece of material we use is 100% cruelty-free throughout the entire process.
Water-Based Pigment Inks
As for the pigment inks we use, they’re all water-based and 100% environmentally friendly, containing no toxic or hazardous ingredients whatsoever.
Unlike standard inks, our water-soluble inks are made with no Alkylphenol Ethoxylates (APEs), no formaldehyde and no heavy metals.
On top of that, our inks fully comply with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and are certified for safety by Oeko-Tex™, which means they are totally safe to print on youth/children’s clothing and reduce environmental waste.
Eco-friendly Sublimation Inks
We use eco-friendly sublimation inks and printing processes for both our legging and our sports bra lines. These inks are environmentally friendly, biodegradable and CPSIA compliant.
All of this means that the end result is literally just better, for the environment, and for you.
